Caseworkers from a voluntary agency enabled them to obtain medical care and Social Security cards, and fill out job applications. Neither husband nor wife was literate in their native Burmese dialect and found learning English difficult. He has found work in a factory and his wife has qualified for SSI. With these sources of income they are able to pay their bills and save some money.

BTW, Burma has been Myanmar since Clinton was president. The slouchers working in the government probably haven’t gotten to the memo, yet. Or maybe the name wasn’t changed to fool the innocent.
