How fire mysteries have changed. Being born and raised in Philadelphia I remember the Centralia fire story back in 1962. A fire that was going to burn for an undetermined length of time seemed borderline sensationalism for the Philadelphia Bulletin.

Never would have believed this story from Los Angeles CA about a forest fire cutting a house in half like a knife through cake.
